Injuries meant Dimmen has a stop start kind of season and I don’t think he ever really got going. Not enough physicality means I wouldn’t be bothered if I never saw him in a Panthers shirt again.
Another season where injury has hampered Dimmen and because of that I feel we didn’t see the best of him once again. Has been good in patches offensively but gets beaten far too easily for me.
Another half season completed for Dimmen. Unlucky with his injury this season, as a pretty nasty slash to the hand put him out for weeks. I wasn’t a massive fan of his last season, but came to admit that when he was out injured with concussion that campaign we looked like we really missed him out there on the ice. Not too sure I could say the same thing this season if I’m being honest.
Suffered “2nd album syndrome”. Like last season, missed a chunk of time through injury and when he was playing he struggled in a poor Panthers team. Not a season to remember.
Much of the commentary about Spang could just as equally apply to Dimmen. Missed a fair chunk of the season, leading to the belief that he’d help shore up and consolidate the team’s defence upon his return. Sadly, it didn’t really work out that way.
Jeff Dimmen has completed a season of games while with the Nottingham Panthers, sadly it took him 2 seasons to do it as he’s been one of the victims of the repeated injuries that have seemingly become commonplace these days! Had a decent partnership with Schmidt last season which endeared him to me towards the end and it’s not entirely his fault that I don’t feel the same about him this season, our defence in general has been below par and while we’ve missed him when he’s not been there I’m afraid I think that’s more to do with the lack of bodies in general than his actual play.
