Ollie has taken the chance he was given well and it was no surprise that he won the TCW Most Improved Player award. Not that there was much competition. Still not the full package but he’s well on his way.
Another year of improvement for Betteridge and a decent 4th line player. Needs to improve more over the next couple of years in order to move up the lines but the signs so far are good.
Still a raw talent with bags of potential. Hasn’t seemed out of place too often with the extra ice time that he’s received this season for various reasons. Still plenty of scope to become a lot better and needs to iron out some of the defensive flaws in his game, but he’s still young enough and good enough to get that sorted, and I’d reckon fairly quickly too. Like Farmer should be offered a multi-year deal.
He’s done OK and at 21 he has time on his side and should get better as we go along. Decent 4th line player at present. If the UK structure allowed it (and Panthers had a fully fit roster) I’d like to see him on a 2-way with an EPL team to allow him more minutes next year.
Benefitted from logging more ice time this season but in this side his influence in the grand scheme of things was never going to be significant. One of those players who never quit, regardless of how adverse and trying the circumstances were and his energetic skating showed his commitment to the cause, helping to keep opponents honest. Might need to add a few more points to his game next season to keep his game progressing forward.
I think Ollie has made a marked improvement from last season, it’s no coincidence that he’s been playing more minutes and every time he hits the ice he gives it everything. He’s enthusiastic, he’s getting better and if the Panthers have got any sense they should show him some faith and stick a multi-year contract under his nose if he isn’t already on one.
